Account Manager / Customer Service & Complaints Executive

As an Account Manager at Car Loans UK you will be given comprehensive training including in house systems, FCA and compliance training as well as customer service skills. 


  • Being the first point of contact for all after sales calls and emails 
  • Dealing with customer complaints in a timely manner
  • Investigating and responding to complaints in line with FCA regulations
  • Ensure all customer correspondence is recorded on CRM system 
  • Work closely with management and training team on the cause of complaints and make recommendations to mitigate loss
  • To champion excellent customer service
  • To fully embrace treating customers fairly
  • Liaise with internal departments, dealers, lenders, mechanical engineers etc. to obtain information to investigate a complaint thoroughly
  • Negotiation with dealers in relations to costs, repairs, and contractual obligation


  • Evidence of working in a customer service / complaint’s role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload
  • An understanding of FCA regulations and a working knowledge of the Financial Ombudsman Service
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Confident, and if necessary, authoritative on the phone


  • Basic Salary to: £24,000 depending on experience

Our building has a visitor car park on its premises. If you’re coming for an interview, you can use that to park.

There are also lots of other car parks nearby in Stockport to choose from. They are all within a couple of minutes’ walk from us.

We are based on the A6, so we have easy access to lots of transportation options. Whether you drive or use public transport, there are many options at your fingertips.

We are a convenient 1-minute walk away from Stockport bus station, connecting you to bus routes going in and out of Manchester.

Our office building is only a 10-minute walk away from Stockport train station, where you can access major train lines.

Our office has a lot of great facilities to make you feel comfortable and at home. We have disabled access, including a ramp and lifts should you need them. 

We also have coffee and tea-making facilities along with water coolers and fridges in our staff kitchen and office. Each week, we have a delivery of fresh fruit to keep you replenished throughout the day.

We want you to feel comfortable at work, but we also want you to look the part!
